Natural Flooring

Interior Harmony are your local specialists for natural floor coverings. We offer sisal, jute, seagrass, paper and coir from Alternative flooring, Crucial Trading, Halls and Sans Frontieirs.

Natural flooring is much more susceptible to shrinkage, so we always use a double stick method, such as the Durafit system. This means that the flooring is fully glued to a heavy crumb underlay, which is in turn glued to the subfloor using a semi permanent tackifier. On large areas we leave the material part fitted, before returning a few days later to make the final cut in. This again helps to reduce the effects of shrinkage.

Natural flooring will change colour with exposure to sunlight, so it may be a good idea to move furniture, rugs etc perriodicly to prevent light/dark patches.
