Natural flooring is much more susceptible to shrinkage, so our experienced fitters always use a 'double stick' method such as the 'Durafit' system.

This means the flooring is fully glued to a heavy crumb underlay, which is in turn is glued to the subfloor using a semi permanent 'tackifier.'

On large areas we leave the material part fitted, before returning a few days later to make the final cut in.

This helps reduce the effects of shrinkage.

Natural flooring will change colour with exposure to sunlight, so it may be a good idea to move furniture, rugs etc periodically to prevent light/dark patches.
